Shipwrecked Studio

This is a project I took on for the company Shipwrecked Studio. They gave me some sketches and a brand plan to work from, and I created my first logo designs from them. I first designed the ship in Illustrator, and then tried a couple circular designs around it.

They also wanted me to try some designs using a ship's wheel.

They liked the logos for now, so I started on some business card designs. As is usual for my process, I started with greyscale and then tried some colors. I tried both a more traditional design, as well as a minimalist design utilizing a QR code.

They liked the minimalist one more, but wanted me to try both a vertical design, as well as one with a more geometrical pattern. They also desired more of a sleek, metallic look, so I started using darker colors combined with gradients. 

Now they just wanted to nail down the font. I tried a few others, and ended on the following options.

After a couple more revisions, we ended on the final design!
